HammerHead Trenchless Equipment

HammerHead’s ROUGHNECK R400 Pneumatic Rock Hammer system includes the R400 air hammer, 5.25-inch straight and offset bits, patent-pending pullback kit, control station/oiler, drill conversion kit and universal HD high-flow rock drill housing. Designed to drill at rates up to 150 feet per hour while providing enhanced steering performance, the R400 allows a directional drill to work in multiple rock conditions without changing out the housing. 800.331.6653,

Railhead Underground Products

The IncrediPull quickly attaches to the Railhead Incredibit or DirectBore rock bit for the direct pullback applications required by the FTTP projects. No cut away slots in the bit. No bolts or mechanical fasteners to worry about. Simply remove the center tooth, install the puller, hook up and go. 817.594.6663,

INROCK’S new patent pending XTR-S Extreme Reamer features a proprietary, field interchangeable cutter design allowing drillers to easily change cutters – both tungsten carbide insert (TCI) and milled tooth (MT) – on a job site in minutes, without any welding. XTR-S cutters (TCI, MT) are manufactured by INROCK. XTR-S removes all costs associated with old, welded design split bit reamers, such as freight to a weld repair facility, weld repair time and cost or new body costs with each split bit reamer purchase and the need to actually have two reamers of the same type to avoid costly downtime. 713.690.5600,

Ditch Witch

The Ditch Witch SaverLok System is compatible with all Ditch Witch drills to provide the quickest, most secure protection against drill pipe and drive system wear. Durable TriHawk HD housings are now compatible with all Ditch Witch and Vermeer drills. Other tooling advancements include the versatile TriHawk VI drill bit, durable Rockmaster housing, industry’s-highest-tensile-strength Power Pipe HD drill pipes, and new Power Pipe Forged and Power Pipe Forged HXT drill pipes for both Ditch Witch and Vermeer drills. 800.654.6481,

The Armor Drilling System is now available for smaller horizontal directional drills ranging from 16,000-24,000 pounds of thrust/pullback. The Armor Drilling System features multiple bits and a patent-pending advanced bit mounting design utilizes a solid pin for bit retention and for ease in bit interchangeability and maintenance. The housing is constructed with dual water ports that deliver up to 70 gpm at 800 psi of mud flow to effectively carry cuttings out of the bore hole. The sonde lid is designed with a new roll pin retention feature and is built from heavy-duty materials to minimize distortion caused by flexing. 641.628.3141,

American Augers

The Clay Whip Reamer is designed to prevent clay balling. The reamer spins relative to the clay cuttings. The clay cuttings are blended into the fluid and are therefore carried out of the hole in the resulting slurry. Features include high velocity fluid jets; minimal surface area using two wings reduces area clay can adhere to. Also, knives on the forward end of the shaft rotate with the shaft to continuously slice virgin clay into cutting that are exposed to the jetted fluid. 419.869.7107,

Radius HDD Direct

The Radius Rock Bit Series delivers greater steering and control in any type of soil conditions while letting you navigate loose rock and solid rock conditions, too. Combined with Radius HDD Direct’s patented Hot Shot pull-back adaptor, you won’t have to waste time removing your bit to pull back. 800.892.9114,

Melfred Borzall

Designed for Melfred Borzall blades, the Quick-Swivel saves valuable time when boring through tough soil conditions. Made from the same quality components as the 5-ton ValuDUB swivel, the Quick-Swivel allows direct pull-backs without removing the drill head. The Quick-Swivel quickly bolts to the blade and stays in line with the rotation of the drill head, and works with Borzall’s Excalibur, Ultra Bit 3, Steep Taper Ultra Bit 3 and Bear Claw bits. 800.833.1252,

Sharewell HDD Services

Sharewell’s heavy-duty LTX series of Lo-Torque Hole Opener is ideal for pipeline projects. The field replaceable cutters are available in IADC TCI type 5, 7 or 8 and in mill tooth style. Each body can open four different hole sizes, and the larger cutters have big sealed bearings for longer downhole life. With only the cutters contacting the formation, less torque is required to operate the tool. 281.288.2560,

Horizontal Technology

The Horizontal Technology five cutter RockReamer is available for sizes of 24 inch and 30 inch with MT or TCI cutters selections. The new tool utilizes HTI’s latest bearing technology and is much stronger than the standard split bit reamer. Cutters can be replaced and the body reused. 888.556.5511,

Ballantine’s new Hurricane Xtreme taper pilot bit is made of a unique forged one-piece conical carbide cutting edge. This taper bit fits most all Ditch Witch and Vermeer HDD machines. Each carbide tooth has a 15-degree offset for excellent steering and ware capabilities and the carbidic hard-facing weld material maximizes bit life. 800.328.2424,

Hunting Trenchless

Hunting Trenchless mud motors are designed for use with drills having 40,000 pounds of pullback or higher, and unlike conventional mud motors, Hunting’s innovative design incorporates the sonde housing into the bearing housing just three feet behind the bit, giving the operator more accurate tracking information. 855.367.9296,

Straightline’s Sabre bit delivers the edge you need in those tough ground conditions, where cutting that hard pan or steering in cobble is key. Compatible with Ditch Witch and Vermeer, Sabre boasts precision placed carbide that is placed inside the bit body to allow for excellent steering characteristics and minimal drag in the hole. 800.654.3484,
