Atlas Copco opens Ohio configuration center

Atlas Copco Construction Equipment celebrated a ribbon cutting at its new configuration center in Independence, OH on June 13. The 150-foot-long facility was built across from a current Atlas Copco service center. Staff in the 9,000-square-foot configuration center will assemble hydraulic attachments and WEDA submersible pumps. The existing service center will continue to refurbish and provide other technical services.

Pipeline Approval Reform Bill Hits Headwinds

The pipeline approval "speed up" bill hit a couple of speed bumps on July 9. At hearings in a House subcommittee, the unofficial "pipeline" commissioner at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) pointed out some potential unintended consequences that might come about if the Natural Gas Pipeline Permitting Reform Act (H.R. 1900) as initially written becomes law.
