In Memoriam: Michael DeWare Cole

Michael DeWare Cole, 68, died July 17. DeWare was a pipeline veteran who began his career in the pipeline industry in the ‘60s working for several companies including Michael Curran Associates, Bechtel Oil, Gas & Chemicals Inc., Gulf Interstate Engineering.

He worked on key projects around the world in Abu Dhabi, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Uganda and Europe. Since 1997, DeWare was employed by ARB Inc. as a project manager and international superintendent.

He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University in 1967, and was founder of the pipeline industry’s Martini International Golf Tournament.

DeWare is survived by his wife, Cathy; two daughters, Jessica and Amanda; son, Matthew and three grandchildren.
