Avanti International has produced a new learning resource for solving Infiltration and Inflow (I&I) issues in sanitary and storm water systems. Fundamentals of Municipal Grouting is a 16-module video series designed as an interactive learning experience for those who need-to-know and want-to-solve the I&I problems destroying underground systems.
Beginning with the History of Sewers (Lesson 1) through Standard Specifications (Lesson 16), the video series delves into grout chemistry and safety, conveyance technologies and techniques, and holistically targets all infiltration points of entry: mainline sewers, manholes, service laterals and connections. Produced in high-definition broadcast quality and comprehensive in content, this video series is unlike any other resource serving the trenchless technology industry.
Access to the program is complementary. Municipal stakeholders and specialty contractors have a self-paced training and education resource to enable both technical and operational personnel at no cost. For engineers requiring PDH credits, a $49 administration fee is required.
Municipal Grouting is a multi-vendor solution. After years of collaborating on grout schools, webinars and live field-day demonstrations, experts from Avanti, producer and full-service provider of high-quality injection grouts; Aries Industries, grout truck manufacturer; and Logiball, remote packer manufacturer, joined forces in the name of education to produce this video series.
“Video-based training is a natural extension of this education initiative and an important asset to teach the fundamentals of injection grouting to specifying engineers and municipal stakeholders, as well as the management, estimators and technician teams of specialty contracting organizations,” said Daniel Magill, president of Avanti. “Beyond the fundamentals, our hands-on grout schools will continue to provide personalized instruction throughout the year.”
