INTREN LLC has promoted Sean Hughes, the company’s ComEd Account Manager, to Regional Vice President, Central Region, and will be reporting directly to President Lance Rosenmayer, effective immediately.
“Sean brings years of operating experience and a deep commitment to our customers to this role,” said INTREN CEO Kelly Tomblin. “His demonstrated agility in an ever-changing marketplace and his ability to get support from his team members will allow us to continue to live our brand of ‘OutPerforming. Everyday.”
As INTREN’s ComEd Account Manager, Hughes completed the 5-year scope of work for the Energy Infrastructure Modernization Act and successfully planned the ramp down. Most recently, he completed the year-long course #2020Beyond – Millennial Leadership.
Hughes originally joined INTREN in 2008 as a Project Manager on the ComEd Assess Treat and Replace (ATR) Program. In 2011, he was promoted to Project Manager on the Cable Replacement Program and, in 2013, was named Senior Project Manager responsible for the entire ATR Program and the ComEd Fault Initiative. During the last eight years, Hughes also led rehabilitating of more than 5000 miles of underground residential cable and led INTREN’s efforts in developing ComEd’s WireWatcher Storm Support Program.
“Sean has been a key person in the growth of INTREN and has worked diligently to serve ComEd, a major INTREN customer,” said INTREN President Lance Rosenmayer. “This promotion is well-deserved and will provide him with additional resources and support needed to allow him to focus even more on ComEd’s strategic needs.”
During his nine years with INTREN, Hughes completed his PMP Certification through the Project Management Institute and Six Sigma Green Belts through the Management and Strategy Institute.
Hughes earned a B.S. from DeVry, a M.A. from Keller School of Management, and a Registered Communications Distribution Designer certification. He was a member of IBEW Local 134 for ten years.
