RLG Consulting Engineers
David Goodson, president and CEO of RLG Consulting Engineers, received the Jerry Allen Courage in Leadership Award, at Zweig Group’s 2018 Hot Firm + A/E Industry Awards Conference, in Dallas. The annual award recognizes a recipient working in an architecture, engineering or construction (AEC) industry firm who has demonstrated personal courage and impacted the firm in unique and extraordinary ways.
As CEO, Goodson has grown RLG’s revenue nearly 60 percent. He has expanded the company’s footprint by opening offices in Fort Worth and Peoria, Ill., and adding forensics services for the structural division and hydraulic engineering for the civil division.
Since RLG’s inception in 1953 by his father, Raymond L. Goodson, the company has maintained a reputation of trust, building a legacy as an industry leader. Its staff of more than 80 employees, today, includes professional engineers holding licenses in 47 states, graduate engineers, and registered professional land surveyors.
Hydra-Flex Inc., manufacturer of innovative fluid-handling products for the vehicle wash, hydro excavation and industrial cleaning industries, was recognized as an Employer of Excellence by the Dakota-Scott Workforce Development Board (WBD).

Cross Country Infrastructure Services Inc., a leading supplier of materials, tools, equipment and parts for the pipeline construction industry, continues to strengthen and diversify its services and products. Most recently, it acquired Rain2Day Inc., a rental provider of temporary water solutions such as liquid storage, irrigation, clear water transmission lines, dewatering and sewer bypasses, in Las Vegas and surrounding Nevada area.
The Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA) Foundation named industry veteran Tony Straquadine as executive director. In this role he is responsible for managing technical and economic studies, implementing the strategic plan, overseeing the planning and studies process, and leading development and execution of the Foundation’s meetings and workshops.
Straquadine has been involved with the INGAA Foundation as a board member since 2015 and brings to his new role more than 35 years of oil and gas pipeline industry experience. Most recently, he was managing U.S. officer and manager, commercial & government affairs at Alliance Pipeline, which he joined in 1999. He has also held a variety of operational and senior human resource management positions at Haliburton Company.
In addition to his Foundation engagement, he has served on the INGAA board of directors; the executive committee of the North Dakota Petroleum Council; the advisory board for Illinois State University’s Institute for Regulatory Policy Studies; and as past chair of the Heat is Power Association, an association representing the waste-heat-to-power industry.

Applied-Cleveland Holdings Inc., an inspection and integrity management services company for energy infrastructure assets in North America, continues to grow and evolve.
Complementing and expanding its core inspection offering/services, the company completed three acquisitions in the last nine months, most recently the inspection business of Longview, Texas-based STS Consulting Services LLC.

As Eagle Infrastructure Services, it serves the lifecycle maintenance and project needs of pipeline and related facilities infrastructure in the transmission, gathering, utility, LDC, storage and downstream markets.
Originally founded in 1991, the company has grown to include five divisions: Applied Consultants, Cleveland Integrity Services, CentralNDT, Encompass Energy Services and Perennial Environmental Services. It operates across 14 locations in the United States and Canada, with 3,500-plus employees serving more than 350 customers.

Volvo Construction Equipment’s newest wheeled excavators – EWR150E, EWR170E and EW220E – are now available through Sourcewell and HGACBuy, doubling the line-up of this Volvo equipment offered through purchasing cooperatives for governments and nonprofit organizations.
“Volvo wheeled excavators are becoming an integral part of more and more government fleets, thanks to their mobility and versatility,” said Matt McLean, product manager, wheeled excavators, at Volvo Construction Equipment. “Many municipalities consider them as a viable and more-capable replacement to backhoes and truck-mounted excavators.”
Cooperative purchasing agencies such as Sourcewell and HGACBuy, are government entities that competitively solicit, evaluate and award cooperative purchasing contracts, streamlining the procurement process for their members by satisfying the bid process. Increasingly attractive for many government agencies who are facing budget cuts, personnel reductions and demand for increased efficiency, such contracts allow compliance without duplication of effort.
Because Volvo has both contracts, municipal customers have an easier and more-efficient way to rent, lease or purchase Volvo equipment, ensuring the best price without going through a traditional bid-letting process.
