Volvo CE
Volvo offers five skid steer B-series models that are Tier 3 certified and have operating capacities from 1,400 to 2,400 pounds and engine powers from 45 to 83 net hp. The B-Series skid-steer loaders offer a choice of foot and hand mechanical controls or hand-operated hydraulic pilot controls. A seat bar provides an ergonomic armrest and control lever positions for improved efficiency and reduced fatigue. Joystick handles for both the mechanical and pilot control systems incorporate the standard auxiliary hydraulics function. The operator cab is available in open canopy or enclosed cab configurations. Larger front and rear openings and windows improve visibility forward, to the rear and sides, and above to provide a better view of the attachment when loading trucks. Isolation mounts reduce vibration and noise to the operator. A variety of seat options are available, including a suspension seat and the industry=s best high-back deluxe cushion seat. A universal quick attach system can be used with nearly all skid-steer loader attachments. 828.650.2000,

The Case 440 Series 3 skid steer features radial- and vertical-lift configurations, a roomy cab with greater visibility and superior serviceability for increased uptime. The 440 has clean-burning, Tier III certified engine at 83 net hp. The cabs feature a 7 percent increase in headroom and 6 percent increase in lap-bar width, along with improved forward, side, rear and overhead visibility. With an operating weight of 7,040 pounds, the operating load is 2,200 pounds and bucket breakout force is 6,207 foot-pounds. This machine is available with a temperature-controlled cab, hydraulic quick couplers, Ride Control and a MP3 player port. More than 75 compatible attachments are available for Case skid steers. 866.54.CASE6,

New Holland Construction
Super Boom Skid Steer Loaders from New Holland combine stability with the reach of the Super Boom vertical lift linkage for more lift capacity per pound of total machine weight. The long wheelbase and low center of gravity provide added stability on uneven terrain. Visibility to the rear is outstanding due to the large rear window, low engine hood and no rear frame towers to block your view. Looking forward, the low boom cross member lets you see the cutting edge of the bucket when the boom is down. Metal screens on each side provide protection and excellent side visibility. The fully detailed deluxe cab interior provides a quieter, more comfortable place to work. High-visibility backlit controls at-a-glance instrument panel with logical labeling for easy operation. The entire cab and boom assembly lift forward and up for full access to the engine or transmission.

The S850 skid-steer loader boasts a rated operating capacity of 3,875 pounds and with an operating weight of 10,008 pounds, the S850 is now the largest Bobcat skid-steer loader. Powered by a 92-hp water-cooled diesel engine, the S850 has a lift height of 144 inches. Standard auxiliary hydraulic flow is 23 gpm at 3,500 pounds per square inch, while an optional high-flow feature reaches 37 gpm for maximum attachment performance. The panel monitors key loader functions, while the keyless start helps prevent theft. The new 5-inch, full-color LCD screen offers better readability and interaction. Hydraulic quick couplers are mounted directly to the front plate of the lift arm to provide a solid mounting, while quick coupler hoses run through the loader arms for better protection. A guard bar extends in front of the coupler for added security.

The 272C skid steer features electro-hydraulic joystick control of the hydrostatic drive system and electronic torque management for smooth operation and high productivity. A vertical lift design provides extended reach and lift height for quick and easy truck loading. Both optional sealed and pressurized cab and air suspension seat offer operator comfort. Optional High Flow XPS hydraulics on each of the models expands versatility. With a rated operating capacity of 3,250 pounds, the 272C is Caterpillar’s largest capacity skid steer loader. The Cat 3C.4 DIT engine powers the 272C at 90 net hp. 309.675.1000,

Ditch Witch
The SK650 mini skid steer is equipped with a 31-hp Kubota turbo diesel engine, directing 20 net hp to the attachment. With an eight-gallon capacity, most jobs can be completed without stopping to fuel or shut down the machine to change attachments. Quick-disconnect attachment fittings enable attachments to be changed with the hydraulic system under pressure, which speeds productivity. The SK650 is also equipped with a foot pedal auxiliary control, freeing up the operator’s hands to control depth and ground speed. An attachment-level indicator has been mounted to the attachment lift frame, allowing the operator to see from the operator=s station if the attachment is level. A float section on the auxiliary valve has been added to help the operator to make more efficient use of attachments. 800.654.6481,

With a rated tip capacity of 2400 pounds and SAE operating capacity of 840 pounds, the new Vermeer S800TX mini skid steer can efficiently lift and transport a large load of material in and around confined spaces. The hydraulic system of the S800TX is capable of providing 14 gpm for effectively powering more demanding attachments while the 35-hp engine provides exceptional power and breakout force. And measuring just 40.5 inches in width, the S800TX offers a narrow footprint for easy maneuverability and access to confined spaces. A dedicated ride-on platform offers broad jobsite visibility. 888.837.6337,

The Toro Company
The Toro Company unveils both narrow- and wide-track TX 427 models. Both loaders feature a 27-hp Kohler engine that delivers added torque for increased pulling and digging force. These models also come standard with a heavy-duty 2-stage air cleaner that offers superior dust and dirt filtration, even when the engine is working in the harshest environments. Featuring four independent hydraulic pumps, TX 427 compact utility loaders deliver 16.9 gallons per minute (gpm) of flow to each track, 11.4 gpm to the auxiliary hydraulics and 6 gpm to the loader arm. The auxiliary hydraulics on the TX 427 models pump 19 hp flow to the attachment for increased productivity in ground-engaging applications. Weighing just 2,006 pounds with a standard bucket, the TX 427 narrow track loader has a rated operating capacity of 535 pounds (35% of tip capacity). The TX 427 wide track model weighs 2,186 pounds with a standard bucket, and it offers the same rated operating capacity as the narrow track model at 535 pounds (35% of tip capacity). 800.344.8676,
