Yancey Bros/Caterpillar;

Trey Googe assumed majority ownership of Yancey Bros. Co., a Cat- erpillar dealer in Georgia, succeeding Jim Stephenson as CEO. A share- holder since joining the company in 2007, Googe most recently served as president and chief operating officer. In 2015, Caterpillar appointed Googe to serve as dealer principal with Stephenson, who remains a Yancey shareholder and continues as the company's chairman.

Stephenson is son-in-law of third-generation Yancey leaders and Googe is Stephenson’s nephew, marking the fifth generation of the family leadership.

"Trey's acquisition of majority ownership of Yancey Bros. marks the completion of a succession plan which we launched over a decade ago,” said Stephenson. “At that time, our goal was to continue our family's stewardship of the company by insuring we had a qualified and capable successor to take the helm from me.”

Headquartered in Austell, Ga., Yancey Bros. Co. is recognized as the nation's oldest Caterpillar dealer, celebrating 100 years in that role, in December 2018.

Family owned and operated for 104 years, Yancey offers Caterpillar and Blue Bird products, parts and service across the state of Georgia through 25 facilities in 19 communities.
