New Cherne I-Series Test-Ball Plugs Deliver State-of-the-Art Solutions

The newly redesigned Cherne I-Series Test-Ball Plugs are the most innovative pneumatic plugs available for the underground/waterworks market.

Lightweight, short and flexible, these plugs deliver state-of-the-art solutions for a variety of applications: blocking and bypassing flow; installing new pipes and junction boxes or repairing old ones; and installing or repairing utility holes.

They provide improved performance and safety through optimized design and superior back pressure (maximum of 15 psi and inflation pressure of 45 psi).

Available in eight expansion ranges, from 6 to 24 inches, Cherne I-Series Test-Ball Plugs meet U.S. and international industrial and municipal needs for engineers and contractors. The plugs offer industry-leading quality and durability, featuring robotic, mechanical bonding of aluminum end plates to the plugs’ premium natural rubber to eliminate chemical bonding failures.

Cherne Industries, a part of the Oatey family of brands, is a global leader in pipe plug blocking and testing. Since its inception more than 60 years ago, Cherne has led the industry in developing innovative solutions that deliver increased productivity and reliability for commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential plumbing systems.

Perma-Liner Industries Named Exclusive Distributor of GP Sewer Cam

Perma-Liner Industries, a Waterline Renewal Technologies brand, expanded its product lines by becoming an exclusive distributor of GP Sewer Cam, a dependable, durable, must-have tool for high-definition diagnosis, verification and documentation of all pipeline rehabilitation projects.

GP Sewer Cam allows operators to turn a jetter into a sewer camera by simply attaching the proprietary adapter to a jetter hose.

Produced and manufactured from 304 stainless steel in the United States, the heart of the device is the GoPro HERO camera that easily mounts to the front of the skid. Water-jet-propelled, it can be configured to multiple jetter hose sizes, pressure, and flow. The Tier 2 inserted nozzle that comes standard makes this possible, conforming to the customer’s needs.

Authorized by GoPro worldwide, the GP Sewer Cam works in standard pipe diameters of 6 to 18 inches and is used for F.O.G. (fats, oils, grease) problems, lateral root issues, bad taps, pipe damage, sinkholes and planning an informed cleaning schedule to name a few.

"We are thrilled to welcome GP Sewer Cam … Our passion for uniting our customers with trenchless solutions drives us to continuously explore brands that will meet our customers' needs for pipeline rehabilitation," said Chris Duda, vice president of Sales & Marketing for Waterline Renewal Technologies.

The GP Sewer Cam connects to the free GoPro app and allows operators to automatically offload videos to a smartphone or tablet to view, text or email immediately from the job site. For an additional subscription of $49.99 per year, operators can automatically upload to the Cloud with no-questions-asked camera replacement, unlimited Cloud storage and premium editing tools.

Additional features include dual-LED flashlights with an effective range of 170 feet, sonde compatibility and a two-year warranty for the camera housing manufacturing defects, flashlight assembly and skid.

Through its portfolio of brands, Waterline Renewal Technologies offers engineered products used in trenchless repair and rehabilitation of wastewater/stormwater infrastructure for municipal, commercial/industrial and residential applications.

Carboline Introduces Innovative Carbocrete 4010

Carboline Company, a global manufacturer of high-performance industrial coatings, introduced Carbocrete 4010, a new fiber-reinforced repair mortar with outstanding application properties for vertical and overhead concrete substrates.

This innovative product can build up to 4 inches (10 cm) thick vertically to repair and resurface the most-deteriorated concrete surfaces. It also offers a quick setting ability that allows it to be top-coated with various Carboline high-performance linings in as little as six hours, making it ideal for boosting job-site production.

In addition to its outstanding application properties, Carbocrete 4010 exhibits low shrinkage, high bond strength and low permeability, which are all critical features in high-moisture and underground environments. It is also NSF 61 approved for use involving potable water.

While applications for Carbocrete 4010 are extensive, it’s specifically effective for water and wastewater structures, such as manholes, wet wells, pipelines and others.

“Within water/wastewater infrastructure, concrete is the predominant substrate. In many cases, these concrete surfaces are in desperate need of repair,” said Brian Cheshire, market manager for Carboline Water/Wastewater.

“Carbocrete 4010 is an excellent addition to the already established Carboline family of concrete resurfacers, which help repair, rebuild and restore concrete substrates before applying our lining systems,” he added.
