Miller Pipeline Acquires Dover Contracting

Miller Pipeline, one of the nation’s leading natural gas distribution and utility contractors and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vectren Corporation, acquired Ohio-based Dover Contracting Inc.

“The transmission pipeline construction market has become a significant part of our business over the past few years,” said Doug Banning, CEO of Miller Pipeline. “We have been successful in expanding our customer base in 2008, and with this acquisition we will be able to expand our service expertise and geographic market.”

Founded in 1960 by Russell Hawk, Dover Contracting is an underground pipeline construction company working in the transmission pipeline construction market segment. The company’s workforce is composed of approximately 50-60 employees during construction season. Their customers include major gas utilities in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and West Virginia.

Perpetuating Dover’s legacy, Hawk will remain at the company to help foster key relationships and execute business strategies. 800.428.3742, millerpipeline.com
