Equipment Spotlight

Pumps & Dewatering Equipment: Thompson Pump & Mfg.

Thompson Pump’s hydraulically-driven submersible pump ends and hydraulic power units with automatic start/stop are great for dewatering.

The submersible pump ends also eliminate suction lift limitations, allowing pumping in deep excavations, manholes, open pits, quarries or mines. The 32HPU with a 46HST handles solids up to three inches, has a maximum capacity of 1,580 gpm and pumps efficiently at heads up to 115 feet. Designed to run dry, these models are constructed from heavy-duty cast iron and steel.

Typical hydraulic power units require manual start and stop, manual needle valve adjustment and manual speed adjustment. Thompson’s automatic start/stop system energizes and de-energizes the hydraulic circuit while automatically adjusting the speed of the hydraulic power unit. 800.767.7310, www.thompsonpump.com
