Auger Boring: American Augers 72-1200 NG

The 72-1200 NG is the next generation of horizontal auger boring machine that now offers a patented rack-and-pinion drive for rapidly pulling the boring machine back to the starting position on the track, without dogging or winching.

The standard 72-1200 NG is equipped with a Caterpillar C7 ACERT, Tier III 250-hp diesel engine and has a maximum thrust rating of 1,200,000 pounds. The total working range of the machine is 24 to 84 inch product casing diameters, and has 200,641 foot-pounds of maximum torque.

The 72-1200 NG also features a Quik Split frame design that allows the machine to be separated into sections to accommodate lighter and fasters lifts into and out of the bore pit, and aids the operator in being able to facilitate better and safer machine positioning. The machines Quik Tran technology system provides up to 10,000 pounds of push/pull at high speed. 800.324.4930, www.americanaugers.com
