Rehab News: New website for RS Technik, Insituform in Hawaii

RS Technik AG, a world leader in trenchless pipe rehabilitation and repair solutions, has launched a new website, www.rstechnik.com.

“Our mobile, on-site CIPP epoxy impregnation systems, including the RS CityLiner system, utilize cutting-edge technology and quality materials, so we wanted our new website to reflect the confidence our customers put in our systems,” said Klaus Mueller, president of RS Technik AG. “Also, our systems are designed to meet specific needs in a wide variety of applications, in cities all around the world. Therefore, our technology is developed with special consideration to differences in cultures, infrastructures and governments. We felt that our website was no exception. We needed to respect these global differences by providing timely and relevant information to the many international visitors who seek information on our website. Another objective in designing this new website was to support our mutual commitment with DOW Formulated Systems in providing environmentally-sound CIPP solutions.”

The RS Technik website, currently available in English and German languages, will soon include Spanish, French and Italian versions, as well. RS Technik also offers geographic market segmentation, allowing their sales and service teams to respond quickly, on a local level, to customer needs.

Insituform wins contract in Honolulu, HI
Insituform Technologies has been awarded a contract valued at approximately $7 million by the city and county of Honolulu, HI, to rehabilitate nearly 1,400 feet of a 69-inch diameter pipeline beneath Ala Moana Boulevard, one of the main access roads to Waikiki Beach.

Using Insituform CIPP on this project will allow continued access to Waikiki Beach throughout the duration of the project. Installations will take place around the clock near the popular Point Panic Beach Park, Children’s Discovery Center and Waikiki Yacht Club.

Since 2005, Insituform has completed nearly $40 million of pipeline rehabilitation work for the city and county of Honolulu. With this latest contract award, Insituform continues its relationship with Honolulu as it continues to fulfill its 10-year capital improvement plan. Now nearing completion, Honolulu expects to continue its rehabilitation efforts as part of a routine maintenance program.

Insituform, a pre-qualified general contractor, will work with locally-owned subcontractors to provide bypass, traffic control, cleaning, closed-circuit television inspection and manhole rehabilitation beginning in October 2010. It is expected this project will be completed in approximately 12 months.
