Snider, Bearden Join Laney Management

Laney Directional Drilling Co. (Laney), a leading provider of horizontal directional drilling services to the energy, telecommunications and infrastructure sectors, announced March 15 that Alan P. Snider, PE and David “Paul” Bearden, Jr. have joined the Laney team.

Mr. Snider will serve as Vice President – Engineering and Mr. Bearden will serve as Director – Research, Development, and Quality.

Mr. Snider joins Laney after 21-years in the horizontal directional drilling industry, where most recently he was South Business Unit Leader, Energy Market Director, Principal, and a board member of Geo-Engineers. He established Advantage Professional Services, Inc. in 1997 and served as its President and Senior HDD Engineer until 2004 when the company was acquired by Geo- Engineers. From 1990 to 1997, he held various positions at ARB, Inc. (Harcro Division) and Willbros Engineers, Inc. Mr. Snider is a licensed Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Arkansas.

Mr. Bearden joins Laney after an 18-year career in the horizontal directional drilling industry that began with Horizontal Drilling International (HDI), Inc. He held various positions at HDI, iIncluding Laborer, Surveyor, Operating Engineer, Rig Superintendent, and Project Manager. He joined Advantage Professional Services, Inc. (later acquired by Geo-Engineers) as a Senior Construction Consultant in 2002 and has most recently served as Trenchless Energy Business Unit Leader, Associate, and Senior Trenchless Consultant. Mr. Bearden has a Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University.
