Strongco holds new branch grand opening

Strongco Corp. held a grand opening celebration at its newest location in Acheson, Alberta, Canada, on June 20. The 37,150-square-foot facility is situated on 6.5 acres and is located in the Parkland Industrial Park in Acheson on the northwest side of Edmonton.

The new facility is designated as a Volvo branch and will carry the full line of products from Volvo Construction Equipment as well as other leading brands.

“This is a particularly opportune time to open this new branch as the Alberta market is showing very positive signs of recovery,” said Bob Dryburgh, president and CEO of Strongco. “It supports our strategy of having well located branches providing product support and services to our customers.”

The celebration began with a ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by a full afternoon of branch tours and equipment displays from Volvo Construction Equipment, Dressta and Terex Finlay. Strongco product specialists and business partners were available to answer any questions following its presentation.

Strongco sells, rents and services equipment used in sectors such as construction, infrastructure, mining, oil and gas, utilities, municipalities, waste management and forestry. Strongco has about 640 employees servicing customers from 26 branches in Canada and five in the United States.
