Backhoe Loaders: Equipment Spotlight

Backhoe loaders from Case, Volvo, John Deere and New Holland.

Case
The recently updated loader/backhoe product line includes the Case 580N, 580 Super N, 580 Super N Wide Track and 590 Super N, delivering increases in backhoe breakout force and lift, along with increased loader breakout force, lift and reach. Case-exclusive Power Lift channels hydraulic power directly to the backhoe boom with the touch of a button. As a result, N Series backhoe lifting capabilities outperform competitive models by as much as 39 percent – while running at low engine RPMs. 262.636.0447, casece.com

Volvo
The Volvo BL70B backhoe features a cast bucket linkage design that helps the bucket rotate 205 degrees allowing vertical digging in all positions without repositioning the machine. The boom allows excellent visibility into the trench, as well as enabling closer proximity to the truck for loading. The BL70B has a maximum retracted digging depth of 14 feet 9 inches and maximum extended digging depth of 18 feet 3 inches. 828.650.2000, volvo.com

John Deere
 width=
A 310K EP backhoe loader that meets Interim Tier 4 (IT4) standards without after-treatment components and diesel particulate filters (DPFs) is just the beginning. It’s an excellent choice for large fleets and rental yards. It comes equipped, not stripped. With many of the same features found on our other backhoes, it’s the value leader in the 14-feet class. With John Deere WorkSight, JDLink monitoring provides real-time machine utilization and health data, plus location information. Fleet Care proactively suggests maintenance to correct problems early before they turn into costly downtime. And Service ADVISOR Remote enables your dealer to read diagnostic codes, record performance data, and even update software without a trip to the jobsite. 800.503.3373, deere.com

New Holland Construction
C Series loader backhoes feature Tier 4 Interim engines ranging from 95 net hp to 108 net hp, improved engine response, fuel efficiency and serviceability, and an optional auto ride control. The line-up includes the B95C, B95C TC, B95C LR and B110C. With backhoe bucket breakout forces of 12,933 lbf and lift capacities at 12 feet of 3,940 pounds, New Holland C Series loader backhoes excel in tough conditions, making these machines ideal for job tasks such as digging trenches or placing pipe. A new tilt forward hood, which replaces the flip-up hood on previous models, is easy to open, and provides wide access with low effort for routine maintenance needs. The C Series loader backhoes include the B95C LR (long reach) and B95C TC (tool carrier) models. The B95C LR combines the compact size of the B95C with the longer stick of the B110C and provides excellent dig depth, reach and fuel consumption. Ideal for material handling use, the B95C TC delivers true self-leveling to the loader both up and down. 888.365.6423, northamerica.construction.newholland.com
