Rig Source Introduces New Terramac RT9 Crawler Carrier

Rig Source Inc., based in Elburn, IL, recently launched the new Terramac RT9 rubber track multipurpose crawler carrier. Mike Crimaldi, owner of Rig Source Inc. and one of the creators of the RT9, saw a need for a crawler carrier that was customizable, versatile and easy to maintain.

Front and rear bolt-on attachments allow this innovative crawler carrier to accommodate a variety of needs in many applications. Customers can order the carrier, direct from the factory, with virtually any type of equipment mounted on the back, or can order only a base unit of the cab and carrier to mount a machine they already own. The available dump bed has the ability to fold down, allowing the operator to side-load pallets or other items for carriage across sensitive ground. With a ground pressure of only 4.9 psi when fully loaded, this carrier is ideal for construction, landscaping, or anywhere a contractor must avoid making ruts with a wheeled vehicle.

The Terramac RT9 was also designed with ease of maintenance in mind. A tilt hood was incorporated for easy access to key service areas, and components that were traditionally welded on are instead bolted on the Terramac. Headquartered near Chicago, parts and service are readily available if needed. Orders have already been accepted nationally and internationally.

The CE-certified Terramac is equipped with a 230-horsepower Cummins diesel engine that supports 18,000 pound carrying capacity. The unit offers rollover protective structure (ROPS) and falling object protective structure (FOPS). Open and closed cab options are available. The rubber track crawler carrier has a 17 foot 7 inch overall length, 8 foot 5 inch width and 9 foot 3 inch height with 20 inch minimum ground clearance. The unit drives at 2.5 mph to 6 mph and has a 10-foot turning radius. 877.365.1649, rigsource.com
