Sunbelt Rentals acquires MAC Leasing, bolsters Pump & Power services division
Sunbelt Rentals, Fort Mill, SC, has acquired MAC Leasing, a multi-location rental and financing arm of North Dakota-based manufacturing company MAC.
Headquartered in Bismarck, MAC specializes in the production, sale, rental and service of industrial heaters and support equipment, as well as the manufacturing of frac and oil production tanks and a variety of trailers including single axle, satellite, tandem axle and fifth wheel gooseneck models.
MAC Leasing, established in 1983 and restructured in 2010, focused specifically on the rental and service of its heating products, a line that includes indirect-fired, flameless and hydronic surface heaters ranging in size from 200,000 to 4.2 million BTUs per hour. As Sunbelt assumes this portion of the business, a large share of the customer base will continue to be devoted to the oil and gas industry, as well as the industrial and commercial heating markets.
