North American Composites Attains Certification

North American Composites (NAC), a division of Interplastic Corporation, recently achieved ISO 14001:2004 certification for their 27 distribution facilities.

ISO 14001:2004 sets out the criteria for an environmental management system. It does not state requirements for environmental performance; rather, it maps out a framework that a company or organization can follow to set up an effective environmental management system. Using ISO 14001:2004 can provide assurance to company management and employees as well as external stakeholders that environmental impact is being measured and improved.

NAC also successfully completed surveillance audits for its ISO 9001:2008 certification. This standard represents an international consensus on good management practices, policies, and procedures with the aim of ensuring that an organization, time and time again, delivers the products and services that meet the customer’s quality requirements.

North American Composites, with operations across the U.S. and Canada, is a full-service supplier of composite raw materials based in Lino Lakes, MN. NAC serves manufacturers in marine, cast polymer, corrosion, construction, consumer and related composites industries. In addition, NAC provides its customers with a wide range of service in manufacturing equipment, process development and regulatory assistance. 651.481.6860, interplastic.com
