Responsible for managing a $75 million annual budget, Bullert implemented programs to strengthen the effectiveness of the organization, improve the city’s drinking water quality, and significantly reduce water loss in the utility system. In 2011, the Minnesota Chapter of the American Public Works Association honored Bullert with the Director of the Year Award, recognizing his leadership and ability to effectively manage the city’s water system and services. Bullert is also a lifetime member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and is a Fuller Awardee.
