National Fuel Gas Company CEO Elected INGAA Chairman

The board of directors of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America announced the election of Ronald J. Tanski, president and chief executive officer of National Fuel Gas Company, as chairman of the INGAA board of directors for a one-year term from October 2014 to October 2015.

Tanski also is a director of the Buffalo, New York-based National Fuel and serves as chairman or director of a number of the company’s wholly owned subsidiaries. Tanski joined National Fuel as an attorney in 1979 and has served in a variety of positions in both the regulated and non-regulated businesses. He was president and chief operating officer from 2010 to March 2013. From 2004 to 2010, Tanski was treasurer and principal financial officer of the company. From 2008 to 2010, he also served as president of National Fuel Gas Supply Corporation, and before that, he served as president of National Fuel Gas Distribution Corporation.

His experience also includes management position tenures at National Fuel’s Houston-based Seneca Resources Corporation; Empire Exploration Inc., the company’s Appalachian exploration and production subsidiary whose operations were merged with Seneca Resources in 1994; and Horizon Energy Development Inc., National Fuel’s international energy-project development subsidiary, which was sold in 2010.

Tanski earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and a Master of Business Administration degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a Juris Doctor degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law. He is a member of the American Gas Association. He also is a member of the Council on Accountancy at Canisius College and the board of managers of the Buffalo Museum of Science, and a director of the Buffalo Niagara Enterprise.

INGAA’s board of directors also elected Rory Miller, senior vice president of the Atlantic-Gulf operating area for Williams, as first vice chairman, and Michael McMahon, senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of Boardwalk Pipeline Partners L.P., as second vice chair.
