Mountain Water Co. Installs New Water Mains

Mountain Water Company crews recently installed a new water main in Missoula, MT.

The two-day closure was part of a system improvement project to replace an aging steel 20-inch main and an 8-inch main located west of the Elk Hills Condominiums with 1,700 feet of new, 24-inch ductile iron water main. The new main runs just north of the condo development and along the east side of Hillview Way, in the right-of-way.

The $833,000 project is part of Mountain Water’s ongoing infrastructure improvement initiative.

Mountain Water also completed a $125,000 project to replace a 90-year-old main on Hilda Avenue with a new 12-inch ductile main.
