Pennsylvania Water Projects to Receive Funding

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced on April 22 the investment of over $130 million for 12 water and wastewater projects across eight counties through the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST).

The projects include the construction of new water and sewage lines, sewer and manhole rehabilitation and upgrades to treatment plants, water meters and fire hydrants.

Governor Wolf said the projects were vital to improving Pennsylvania’s clean water infrastructure.

“These projects will lead to expanded job growth, which is critical to the future of the commonwealth,” he said.

Of the $130.7 million total, $107.5 million is allocated for low-interest loans and $23.1 million will be awarded through grants.
