Tee up for South Texas UCTA Scholarship Golf Tournament

The Underground Construction Technology Association (UCTA) is dedicated to the promotion of education as it relates to underground construction, which includes ensuring our leaders of tomorrow receive opportunities to enhance their education and training. To help raise scholarship funds for college-bound students, the UCTA’s South Texas Chapter will host its 1st Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament on Friday, Oct. 23.

With a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m., players will enjoy the links at The Republic Golf Course in San Antonio, TX. Only 10 minutes from downtown San Antonio’s world famous Riverwalk, The Republic Golf Club is situated along scenic Salado Creek among glorious oak, elm and mesquite trees.

North Texas Chapter UCTA Awards Scholarships

The North Texas Chapter of the Underground Construction Technology Association (UCTA) awarded a total of $7,000 in college scholarships at their July general meeting held in Euless, TX.

The recipients were: Harrison Wendlend, son of Billy Wendlend, Burgess & Niple; Paetyn Peterie, daughter of Tim Peterie, Insituform Technologies; Christopher Martin, son of Clete Martin, Alan Plummer Associates; Katie Dillard, daughter of Preston Dillard, Alan Plummer Associates; Cassandra Lange, daughter of Donald Lange, Brown & Gay Engineers; Kaitlyn Ray, daughter of Jeff Ray, North Texas Municipal Water District; and Annie Reck, daughter of Todd Reck, City of Irving, TX.
